There’s a misconception that grooming can be ignored and is a fancy way to bathe your pet. This cannot be further from the truth.
This is more than keeping your pet looking cute and smelling good. Proper pet grooming, decreases shedding, eliminates fleas and ticks, and even detects health conditions.

Consequences of lack of grooming
We all have heard about flees, and new pups are the perfect vessels for them. That’s why it's important to be in check with your vaccines and clean after they explore the world.
Fleas that settle in your home are challenging to eliminate. This can lead to the constant re-infestation of your home and your dog. In addition to using regular preventative treatment, bathe your dog frequently, and have consistent grooming.
Long nails, dirty ears, and matted fur can cause pain and discomfort. Regular grooming, including nail trimming and ear cleaning, improves your pet’s comfort. Keeping them comfortable is one of the key reasons why dog grooming should be done regularly.
Believe it or not, pets carry stress and anxiety within. They are in touch with the emotions of the external world and easy for them to soak up what's happening around them.
Grooming helps reduce stress and anxiety for pets. A well-groomed pet feels secure and less stressed. Regular grooming tips like calm, soothing strokes or using treats during the session can make a huge difference in their mental well-being.
Whether you have a dog or a long-haired cat, it is important for your pet’s health and cleanliness to get them groomed regularly.
How often should you see a groomer?
The frequency of grooms will depend on several variables. Your dog’s breed, coat length, coat type, lifestyle, and the climate in which you live can all determine the frequency of grooming visits.
Most dogs with long fur may need to see the groomer every 4 to 6 weeks. However, short-haired breeds may only need to visit once every 8 to 12 weeks, or even less.
There's another layer to the appointments, if your pet has a skin condition that needs extra care, your trustworthy vet can tell you more details about schedules, or a professional g
roomer after an appointment can enlighten you about how must be the constancy. Listen to what your dog needs and I assure you will know.
Although it can be done at home, grooming is a long process that most of the time, owners cannot do by themselves. It also needs an education in the right tools, where to cut and why. The best way to calm and accustom your pet is by some training. You cannot do it by heart, you have to do it by thought.
